PROJECT

Discovering
Happy

—CONTEXT

“Discovering Happy” was a multi-step research project resulting in the execution of an interactive exhibit. The goal of the exhibit was to provide an atmosphere that promoted self discovery through reflection, discovery of community, and the exploration of the happiness on a biological level.

My research revealed the fascination and desire surrounding true happiness. Leading to an additional discovery and line of questioning around our disappointment when it comes to the false promises promoted by the emotion. Moreover a confusion of the emotion entirely with that of joy or bliss.

The exhibit was the final product of extensive research, interviews, and interactive installation design. It was assembled at the Champlain College Art Gallery. Seeing the culmination of creativity and data intersecting with community input was the highlight of creating this interactive experience.
